Every session runs for 60 minutes and follows a fixed structure regardless of group size, experience level, or occasion. Here’s exactly what happens:
0-10 minutes: Safety and technique
Your certified instructor runs the group through the safety briefing — the rules of the lane, how to hold the axe, the throwing technique, the stance, and the release. You don’t throw anything during this phase. By the end of it, you know exactly what to do.
10-20 minutes: Practice throws
First throws. Everyone gets multiple practice rounds with the instructor watching and correcting technique individually. This phase is where the initial nerves disappear — usually by throw number three or four when the axe starts sticking to the target.
20-40 minutes: Games
